The family owned brewery Ayinger was founded in 1878, and is today a medium size brewery. It is located (as the name reveals) in Ayinger, a small city 25 kilometers outside of Munich.
In 1999 they opened their new brewery that allowed them to remain competitive against the major brewers. Ayinger whose export is about 10% of the produced volume is an exemplary model of how modernity and tradition can be secured in the direction of the environment and commitment.
Ayinger focus on creativity, quality, regional focus and innovation. This concept seems to have been a success, judging from all the awards they have got. For instance, they have received awards from Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival, European Beer Star and Örebro ölfestival.
